Front sandwich panels
Sandwich panels belong to multilayer building structures, most often the number of layers does not exceed three. Two outer layers - outer and inner, are made of thin metal sheets (mainly steel with galvanized outer coating). The filling of the sandwich is fire-resistant basalt mineral wool, fire-resistant foam with a density of 25-35 kg/m3 or polyurethane foam with a density of 53-55 kg/m3. The elements of the panels are connected with a special two-component polyurethane-based glue. Plates and insulation can be delivered to the construction site separately, and already on site they are manually connected into blocks and attached to the frame.
Sandwich panels are intended for the construction of external and internal walls and partitions, covering the roofs of buildings with a load-bearing frame.
- the thickness and strength of roofing panels is greater than that of wall panels, since the roof, in addition to its weight, is affected by transverse loads caused by atmospheric phenomena - rain after rain in the cold season, accumulation of snow, hail, wind. The required strength of the roofing panels is achieved through the use of a steel sheet with a high corrugation profile, which adds great rigidity, and the use of insulation with a higher density. High corrugations also serve as drainage channels that facilitate the drainage of water from the roof;
- the lock joints of the roofing panels are made in a special way, different from the locks of the wall panels - with overlap, to ensure better tightness. For this, on one edge of the product, a free corrugation is left on the upper steel sheet, which will be superimposed on the corrugation of the adjacent panel, creating a reliable waterproof connection;
- roofing sandwich panels are constructed from materials with a width of 1.0 m, while the width of wall panels can vary within 0.90-1.20 m;
- the moisture resistance of roofing products is higher than that of wall products, for which special polymer moisture-proof coatings are applied to the front side, and insulation with a porous moisture-proof structure is used. The polymer coating also protects against solar ultraviolet radiation, which can affect the quality of materials;
- the cost of roof panels is 10-15% higher than that of walls.
